The cost of hardware continues to drop whereas the cost of labour and fuel keep rising. A basic (business use), but reliable, new PC can cost as little as £240. Even adding on the cost of an operating system i.e. Windows/Linux plus delivery and set-up it can still be a tricky decision on whether to repair, upgrade or replace.

We will always advise on the relative merits and, where appropriate, suggest the most cost-effective solution. If we are replacing your system we will offer to deliver & set up the new system as well as transferring the files from your old system.

The success of the Firefox browser and OpenOffice (coupled with the abject failure that is Vista) has changed the landscape for Open Source solutions and, in the latter part of 2009, we will be offering dual-boot systems as standard as well as providing a migration and training service for small business users that would like to move to a better security model.
